The measured galaxy correlation function

Date:

Summary:

I stress that the measured galaxy correlation function is a function of an angle and two redshifts and that one has to assume a cosmology to convert this into a function of the distance of galaxies. Also, the measured correlation function contains information about redshift space distortions and the perturbed geometry in addition to the clustering of galaxies and is therefore richer.
