Weak gravitational lensing is a powerful tool to study the dark universe, allowing us to place constraints on key cosmological parameters. We present recently developed gravitational lensing techniques that go beyond standard second order statistics, both in the area of map-making in two and three dimensions. We show how to reconstruct high resolution 2D mass maps from both shear and flexion measurements, then we describe how this method can be extended to the third dimension, allowing us to reconstruct the 3D matter density contrast and therefore to put constraints on the masses of reconstructed structures.
