Looking for backreaction in the observable Universe
Abstract: We review the main features of the model of cosmological backreaction (Buchert et al.), focusing mainly on the general relativistic aspects of the model: commutation rule, effective dynamics of a finite domain, effective cosmological parameters. We point out a way to compare predictions from the backreaction model with current data describing the template metric proposed in a paper by Larena et al. (2008). Finally we constrain such template metric with distance data from SN Ia surveys and SZ measurements of distant clusters, showing our very preliminary results.
