HIRAX pipeline development, simulations, science preparation & analysis

The Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Geneva is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position starting in the autumn of 2019.

The postdoctoral researcher is expected to work on the application of radio astronomy to cosmology. Specifically we are interested in contributing to HIRAX data analysis and simulations, as well as in developing the cosmology science case (including the use of cross-correlations and multi-tracer techniques) and in analysing early science data as it becomes available. More details on HIRAX can be found here: https://www.acru.ukzn.ac.za/~hirax/ .

The appointment will be initially for two years, with an extension to a third year possible. For more information on the position please contact Martin Kunz (martin.kunz@unige.ch).

Applications (via academic jobs online, https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/12991) should include a cover letter, a CV, a short statement of research interests, a publication list, and the applicant should arrange for three letters of reference by senior physicists. We will begin considering applications on January 15 (although will continue to accept applications until the position is filled).
