To prompt collaboration among the different groups in cosmology in the Léman area, we hold a common
discussion session every month and a half. In those, recent news in the field are addressed by experts
at a level that we can all understand. Please, suggest papers/subjects to the local organizers.
Schedule of the meeting 13th.12.2013:
11.00-11.15: Coffee in the reception hall
11.15-13.00: Discussion (Stuckelberg Auditorium)
The papers that have been selected for the discussion are:
1.a) Cosmic Degeneracies I: Joint N-body Simulations of Modified Gravity and Massive Neutrinos (http://arxiv.org/abs/1311.2588)
1.b) Cosmology with massive neutrinos I: towards a realistic modelling of the relation between matter, haloes and galaxies (http://arxiv.org/pdf/1311.0866.pdf)
To be presented by Julien Lesgourgues (CERN & EPFL)
2) Measurement of Neutrino Masses from Relative Velocities (http://arxiv.org/abs/1311.3422)
To be presented by Thomas Tram (EPFL)
3) Search for primordial non-Gaussianity in the quasars of SDSS-III BOSS DR9 (http://arxiv.org/abs/1310.6716)
To be presented by Vincent Desjacques (UNIGE)
You can find more information (together with other papers that were suggested so far) at: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=278938
Of course, you are welcome to bring any other paper that you think would be interesting to discuss.
Looking forward to seeing you around!
The organizing committee,
Diego Blas, Dani Figueroa, Mathias Garny, Jan Hamann, Julien Lesgourgues and Anais Rassat
